OK Corvette Junkies, we ran out of time Saturday to discuss this moths tech talk….so
Spring is around the corner, ya hard to believe with wind chill today below freezing. But with spring comes the enemies of your paint, bird bombs, acid rain, bugs, tree sap, and water spots. Just when you thought you were ready for spring and summer.
Let’s take a quick quiz:
1. The best way to remove bird bombs (yes the straight POOP here)
a. Not a problem, it won’t cause damage

3. You just washed and waxed the car, man looking good, people looking waving and combing their hair in the shine. You take it to work and the sprinklers come on and wet the car down. You come out to go home and, yes water spots. What is this stuff and how do I get it off?
a. A reaction with the wax you used, just wash it off
b. Calcium and metals, Use a solution of water and white vinegar
c. Take it to the detail shop guy and pay him $60/hour for the “secret formula”
d. Must be some chemical they have in the sprinkler system for the grass, call the insurance company and sue for a new paint job

5. You gotta be batting 100%, so last question. Same deal as 3, but this time it starts rain, you know one of those quick spring showers and five minutes latter the sun is out and is baking the rain drops on your car. The boss won’t let you go out and wipe it down so your pretty peeved but continue plugging on. The bewitching hour arrives, your out the door, you get home and wipe it down, but the spots don’t come out. Nothing is working, panic sets in. What now?
a. More water spots, maybe
b. Its acid rain, the paint is etched, wax it off
c. Its dried up wax you forgot to get off, get a power buffer next time
d. Its acid rain, the paint is etched, use a polish/swirl remover
